I sat there on the beach and watched a glorious sunrise. The light was so soft and glowy, the sea basking in the golden light and the waves adding to the magnificence of the scene. It was a beautiful morning and the sun had just risen on one of the most special days. In just a few minutes everything we had prepared for, everything we had planned, for weeks, was about to unfold and I was praying that everything would go perfectly.
As Abisha and Jeswanth made their way to the beach, I walked over and greeted Abi with a huge hug (I hadn't seen her in over a year), shook hands with Jeswanth and we all walked back to the ocean to take their "anniversary portraits''. At least that's what we let Jeswanth think - that he was up at 6.00 in the morning, all dressed up to take their couple pictures.
I started their portrait session with a few easy poses because I wanted them to warm up to me, but they didn't need warming up. They nailed every single pose and I knew that this was going to be just magic. The moment was getting closer and as per our plan, we took a break to take a few solo pictures. I was posing Abi and suggested she brush her hair and she walked to the car to get her "comb" when she was actually getting the ring. Meanwhile I was taking pictures of Jeswanth and when Abi came back, I posed Jeswanth with his back to Abi under the pretext of getting his "profile" shot - this was the signal for Abi to get ready, to go on one knee.
Once she was ready, I asked him to turn around, I stepped back and the rest was magic, just pure magic. Jeswanth couldn't believe what he was seeing, Abi couldn't hold back her tears, and in the blink of an eye they were engaged! There were a lot of hugs, a lot of, "Wait what?!" and a lot of laughter.
Weeks of meticulous planning and it was more beautiful that we could have ever imagined! Abisha was so happy, Jeswanth still couldn't believe it and we walked back, and I got to photograph the newly engaged couple.
Their first year anniversary was now the date of their engagement and I couldn't be more honoured to have been their photographer. It is a blessing to wake up to a beautiful day, and a very special blessing to get to photograph one of the cutest couples on a very special beautiful morning. The morning was so full of joy, laughter and so much love! This sweet couple is so appreciative of each other, so kind and so warm. They can easily make you feel like you are welcomed. They were such champs and so trusting! They are so natural and have such good chemistry that they made my job so easy!
It was one of the most beautiful, flawless mornings ever. So many things could've gone wrong, but God made everything perfect for us. Praise God for everything! Abisha and Jeswanth, Congratulations! I wish both of you all the joy and happiness in the world!
The sweetest, cutest engagement portraits! Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you, Abisha and Jeswanth, now engaged!
